Reload -Or Face Reality

Reload-Or Face Reality

Why You Don’t Have to Face Reality ( unless you want to.)

They say: “Be realistic.”
They mean well.
But sometimes, “realistic” is just code for “give up.”

Yesterday, I had to load a camper onto a truck.
By myself.
In my 70s.
On shifting sand.
In a narrow space next to my house—so tight I could barely fit the truck in.

The camper had to slide into the box with about one inch of clearance.
That’s it. I had to reload it back into the truck.
One bad wheel turn, and I’d have smashed into my fence—or my house.

That’s when the inner voice showed up.
Not the helpful one.
The other one.

“You can’t do this.”
“This is dangerous.”
“You’re not strong enough.”

But here’s the thing:
I don’t have to face that voice—or the so-called “reality” it’s shouting about.

I can create a new one.

So I stopped.
Got out of the truck.
Stood in front of it, breathing.
And I saw it done.
Not in a desperate way—just clearly.

And then I moved.
Slowly.
Deliberately.
One inch at a time.

And the camper? Reloaded.
It’s sitting in my driveway.
Loaded. Chained down. No drama. No damage.

Reloaded!

And here’s what I want you to know:

You don’t have to face reality.
You get to shape it.

Whatever challenge you’re staring down today—
Maybe it’s not a camper.
Maybe it’s a choice. A conversation. A dream.
Stop.
See it done.
And trust the calm voice inside.

You’ve got this.
